Oregon Coast

Posted by AliciaMarie on 5/16/2007
I love to visit the coast. You never quite know what to expect there -- it could be rainy and so windy you later find sand in places you didn't know existed, or it could be bright and beautiful. The beach itself changes each time you visit and the ocean washes up some of the most interesting things.

Newport from Yaquina Head
This view from the lighthouse is incredible. At the end of March 2007 when we visited, the whales were just beginning to migrate through this area, giving us a great excuse to stand staring off into the ocean.

Sandy Driftwood
The wind blew so hard this day that sand built up on one side of the wood.

I love to hike and I love sharing my adventures through pictures. Most of my time is spent exploring the Pacific Northwest, but these past few years I've been able to travel to many of our country's National Parks.
