Ah, water. It's just so...wet. The western United States has a plethora of amazing falls, and here are just a few. When photographing waterfalls I try to capture both the beauty of the location and the raw power they contain. Let me know how I did. Most of these are in Oregon, but some of the more recent ones are in National Parks.

Lakes are my favorite places to hike to. Here are some photos of lakes my husband and I have been to in Oregon's Cascade Mountains, as well as several lakes in National Parks and National Wilderness areas.

Here is a collection of high mountains that continually inspire me. Many of these photos were taken during the summer of 2007, as my husband and I tour the National Parks of the western United States.

When speaking about wildlife in our National Parks, thoughts often wander to bears and elk and wolves. While Reece and I did see several of these creatures, the most curious and lunch-stealing critters happened to be the small ones. In hopes of a meal they often posed perfectly for photos.

Everywhere you go the Leave No Trace bulletins remind you not to pick the flowers. So mostly I pick up rocks. That's also a LNT no-no, but I don't feel so bad about it. Here's some photos of both.

I love to visit the coast. You never quite know what to expect there -- it could be rainy and so windy you later find sand in places you didn't know existed, or it could be bright and beautiful. The beach itself changes each time you visit and the ocean washes up some of the most interesting things.

For the Ansel Adams lover in all of us. If you're ever in Yosemite make sure you check out his gallery. It's amazing.
