went to the dump today and there must have been about 40 of these magnificent birds. |

out walking and thought these were tissue disgarded in the bush. the trail came close to one and this is what it was. |

the first one is my favorite picture. |
|

feather is about an inch and a half long. one of my favorite pictures. |
|
|
a lot of patience before it would sit on my hand. grabbed a handful of dirt with baby wood bugs in it. ate them all and then flew away. special feeling for me. |

now i know why they called them star fish. never took the time to look close up. every one is unigue. |

i stepped on one beside it by accident and thought it was from a dog, but it's a mushroom of some kind. sorry about the bad photo. |

Wow!!!! Photosal: Hi Jude I would first like to thank you for checking out my work, and also for your kind words about my photos. I did drop in for a visit. At this point your photos of the frost buildup just blew me away. I must say that in all my years of observing nature ( and I have a lot of years) I have never seen any thing like that.
