I almost missed getting this picture. The colors were alot brighter, by the time I found the camera it had started to fade.

These flowers are usually a brilliant orange, but the heat and the sun has caused it to fade. It's still pretty, just a softer orange.

Festus became a member of the family after my kids rescued him from the local Dollar Store. Festus was a stray that ran into the store and got stuck behind the milk freezer. The clerks tried all day to get him out but he wouldn't budge. That night before the store closed, my kids walked to the store, and after the store closed the clerk let them stay and my daughter finally got the cat to come out. Well you can guess what happened after that. They brought him home with them, his eyes were all matted up from the dust and dirt. He kept sneezing and his little eye were so watery but we kept him and wouldn't trade him for nothing. Talk about a cat with personality.

This is one of the plants in bloom beside my porch, and the butterflies love it.

Mini morning glories have been growing wild in my garden for a couple years now. I dug one up and planted it with my citris tree, and when it bloomed it was about the size of a quarter. Cute, cute, cute!

Not really, but they do remind me of tiny little umbrellas.

This butterfly was more a shutter bug. Because it kept coming back to get its picture taken.

All these pictures were taken during a recent storm. It was about 10:30pm, and me and my son were out on the porch watching the storm. He didn't think I would be able to get a picture of lightening......then he got a good laugh when I told him that I had taken over 200 pictures just to get these few.

I love the little tea roses, or what some call fairy roses. I like to make beads and I love the floral beads. Here is my attempt at a tea rose in a bead.

How often do you see this...I moved to this samll town about three years ago. These are some views from the front porch. The first is a covered wagon parade, the second is the local fire department making a training video. Sorry the pictures aren't that good, but I just wanted to share.
