not sure exactly what your talking about, you mean the one tree growing out of the lava. ohi'as are one of the first colonizers on fresh lava and can grow almost a year after it cools. this one was growing right below where the highest recoreded lava plume ever was at kilauea iki, it shot over 1200 feet in the air in the 1950's. aloha Jup
