i stepped on one beside it by accident and thought it was from a dog, but it's a mushroom of some kind. sorry about the bad photo.

nature is the best place to be and taking photos of what i see alows me to go back there even on an in day. hope you enjoy, i sure did being there. baby octopus is about an inch and a half long and on my finger.

ya
it had the same texture when i stepped on it as a regular mushroom you bought from the store. it kind of broke open rather then squished like it looks like it should. there were four other ones like this that i came across in the same field. you can sort of see how it grew around some grass stems. but still pretty ugly.
